The time has come. You are in Raja Ampat!
When we arrived at Biodiversity Nature Resort, we were more than a little nervous. Other guests had plenty of experience under the water. We felt a bit out of our depth, but once we met Martine, the dive shop manager, and the dive team, we felt comfortable we’d be in great hands.
We told Martine how nervous we were, but he selected non-technical dives for us with little to no current, so we could dip our toe into the diving world.
Over three days, we did six dives with Biodiversity Nature Resort, and it’s an experience neither of us will ever forget.
With our patient diving instructors, we always felt safe and calm in the water. Since Biodiversity Nature Resort is a dive resort. This is their specialty.
Biodiversity Nature Resort has packages for both divers and snorkelers, so you can experience the world-class diving and snorkeling of Raja Ampat. Twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, guests can join dive and snorkel trips around the islands. Each site is carefully chosen depending on the weather for the best experience.
If you’re an experienced diver or an extreme beginner like us, scuba diving in Raja Ampat is an experience of a lifetime. Due to its currents, Raja Ampat is known for advanced diving, but if we (with only four ocean dives under our belt) can enjoy the diving in Raja Ampat, so can you!
With Biodiversity Nature Resort, we saw our first Wobbegong shark, along with Crocodilefish, Nudibranchs, and the pygmy seahorse. Both types of Wobbegongs and Crocodilefish are endemic to Raja Ampat, making it an experience we couldn’t have anywhere else.
We left Biodiversity Nature Resort with the perfect entry into the world of scuba diving, thanks to the team at Raja Ampat. We already can’t wait to go back.
