Raja Ampat Biodiversity Nature Resort
Was uns besonders macht

Nachhaltiger Tourismus
For us, sustainable tourism is not only about protecting nature. It is also about creating opportunities, sharing resources and ensuring that tourism has a positive and direct impact on the communities that call Raja Ampat home.
By staying with us, you are helping us continue this work.

Posted on Google![]()

What a magical magical place! Rey, Patricia and the team made us feel so welcome and accommodated all of our needs with such ease. Couldn’t recommend this more for access to insane diving and true tropical paradise.Posted on Google![]()

We (a couple of nature lovers) higly recommend Biodiversity. We spent 2 months total in Raja Ampat (in order: 12-day liveaboard for snorkelling, 9 days at Biodiversity, and 2 12-day liveaboards for diving). Based on our experience and preferences, if we come back and only have 2 weeks available, we will choose Biodiversity; if 3 weeks, we will combine it with 3-4 days each in Sandawarek and Arborek. We spent great 9 days at Biodiversity (beginning of February). The room/lodge was very specious, comfortable and clean. The food was ample and tasty (protein was mostly fish), afternoon snacks were always a joy. The people were very friendly, attentive and helpful. But most importantly: there were so many things to do that sometimes we couldn't decide. The house reef is beautiful and full of life, fantastic for snorkelling - we saw many walking sharks, rays, crabs, lobsters, an octupos, a wobbegong, nurse sharks, black tip reef sharks, turtles, squid, and more (some of them when it got dark, don't miss 'night snorkelling'). What is very important, the beach and reef were clean of plastic (which sadly is a big problem even in Raja Ampat); some trash came with a high tide on one day and it was removed very quickly by the staff. You will notice the difference when you swim over to the reef in front of neigbouring homestays, where they don't clean up as much. The dive center organizes trips every day (both for diving and snorkelling), and they are flexible with the programme and take guests' preferences into account. The resort is located very close to some of the best and most known dives sites in central Raja Ampat (Saporkren, Manta Ridge, Manta Sandy, Sandawarek, Mioskon, Blue Magic, Cape Kri, ...), dive guides and service is very good. Most of the tours are half-day, meaning you set off right after breakfast and are back right in time for lunch, but there are also 'special' tours to more remote areas (e.g. Piaynemo, Fam Islands), which return around 5PM. Don't miss night dives at Saporkren and Batu Lima. We can't comment on rental equipment as we had our own, but we didn't hear any complaints from other guests. One thing to improve upon is to add Nitrox as an option, which would help me decide to do more dives per day; for now diving is with air only. If you are into nature, you can walk around and search for critters: spotted cuscus (active morning and afternoon, there are quite a few around, in trees right in front of the lodges, sometimes they even visit the bathroom), beach kingfishers, monitor lizards, palm cockatoo, we were even lucky enough to see a female red bird of paradise. Or you can ask the reception to help you organize a guided birdwatching tour in search of Wilson or red bird of paradise (2 separate tours in separate locations, hiking involved).Posted on Google![]()

We had absolutely the best time! We stayed 2 weeks, had 25 amazing dives and met great people and had good food. Very fresh and healthy products, diverse dishes. Besides diving, we kayakked to the river bed right around the corner, which was magical. We also did the bird tour at the island (not a real bird guide, don't recommend it) and the bird tour from another island, with pick up, which was a great nature experience. The diving was well arranged with safe and knowledgable guides. Had a lot of fun playing in the strong current, seeing tons and tons of fishes and healthy coral. If you're up for wearing no shoes for your stay, eating with your toes in the sand and seeing no mosquitoes whatsoever, we highly recommend Biodiversity!Posted on Google![]()

We enjoyed one week at Biodiversity Nature Resort and we felt part of the 'family', from the moment we arrived! We were welcomed by all the crew, were being looked after at the breakfast, lunches and dinners and felt very relaxed during our stay. We had booked two dives each day with the skilled dive instructors which were well guided by the kind boatmen and we got to see such beautiful corals and many many colored fish....and... the magnificent oceanic manta's...wow! We will certainly not forget this experience! Terima kasih!! Chris and Vera
