This year, once again, Biodiversity Resort celebrated the Christmas season with a series of meaningful activities, spreading joy and kindness across the local communities. All these activities are part of the implementation of a long-term sustainability management system, in which we address environmental, social, cultural, economic quality, human rights, health, safety issues and we strive for continuous improvement.

The festivities began on December 14th with a donation drop-off to Wawiyai and Friwen, marking the start of the company’s holiday goodwill initiatives. These donations were warmly received, emphasizing the spirit of giving during the festive season. Thanks to the leadership of our Human Resource Manager Ms Engelin Driessen, we have been able to have our staff engaged with the development and implementation of these activities part of sustainability management.
On December 18th, donations of clothing, generously contributed by resort guests to our clothing program, were distributed to children and women in Yenbeser. This act of sharing brought smiles and a sense of connection between visitors and the local community, showcasing the impact of collective generosity.

On December 19th marked another important day for us, Biodiversity Resort was honored to be invited as a guest of honor at the handover ceremony for the new head of RSAL. This recognition was a result of our efforts to bring our health programs to the deepest villages in our area, further strengthened the company’s commitment to fostering strong ties with local institutions and partners to continue our sustainable path.

The giving spirit continued December 20th with a Christmas donation distribution to the extended family of the landowners. The following day, December 21st, Biodiversity Resort attended the Diakonia Christmas event at Friwen Church, where Christmas parcels were handed out to orphans and widows, bringing cheer and comfort to those in need. This way, we actively support initiatives for local infrastructure and social community development. Examples of initiatives include education, training, health and sanitation.

The celebrations extended to Yenbeser on December 21st, where another round of donations was delivered. On December 22nd, Biodiversity Resort shared Christmas parcels with orphans and widows at Yenbeser Church. This heartwarming event was followed by distributing donations to the Mambrasar-Dimara family in Yenbeser.

Through these initiatives, Biodiversity Resort exemplified its dedication to our sustainable path, community care and the true spirit of Christmas, fostering goodwill in the villages around the resort, while making a lasting impact on the communities.
