Fun Dives and Safety

Fun Dives

You will have a diving briefing before every dive with all the specific information to the site. Every day we will plan the dives with you and follow your requests. The boat ride to dive sites are between 3 and 35 minutes (if the dive sites are farther out there will be additional fuel surcharges)  Our boat is a new fiber-glass boat with capacity for eight divers plus two dive guides.  The boat is equipped with 2x 40 horse power Yamaha outboards, first aid kit, emergency oxygen, tank holders, roof and ladder.

You can do up to four dives a day.  Our dive ratio is one dive guide to four divers and our dives are long, maximum of 75 minutes (depending on your air consumption). Our Dive sites are not crowded and most of the time you will be the only one in the water (with your group!!)

We do NO-DECO dives, we only ask to come back with 40bars.

We encourage divers to dive responsible avoiding any negative impact in the reefs.

Safety

Dan-Insurance

Our dive guides will guide the dive very conservatively and to a maximum depth of 30m, the best marine life show is in shallower water so it is not needed to spend too long in deep waters. We do not do deco dives. There are no nearby decompression chamber facilities in Papua.  The closest chamber is in Manado and evacuation is extremely expensive and difficult to arrange.  We provide Oxygen for dive emergencies, but breathing Oxygen is insufficient treatment for DCS.  It is imperative to dive conservatively.  Make sure you do not leave home without dive insurance. Under our experience DAN gives a very good service and coverage. Become acquainted with your dive computer and if you have not dived recently please let us know, we can do a refresher course.  We do check dives.
