What makes biodiversity different in Raja Ampat

You’ve booked your flights to Raja Ampat, but now the question is: where shall we stay? Nowadays, there are so many different options available for Raja Ampat and it’s getting harder to make a decision.

Ask yourself the following question: what is important to me during my Raja Ampat Holidays? Is it comfort, price, location, exclusivity, dive sites nearby, …? All of these factors will play a huge role in making your decision.

So, what exactly is it, that makes the Biodiversity Eco Resort different to all other resorts in Raja Ampat?

  1. Location & Flexibility.

The Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort is the smallest resort located on Gam Island, one of the many islands within Raja Ampat. From Waisai it only takes 20 minutes by motorboat to get to the resort and because of this great location, there is no fixed check-in or check-out day, which means that there is no fixed length of your stay. You can just book your flights to Sorong, Raja Ampat and ask for the availability at Biodiversity Eco Resort.

  1. Small Resort.

There are only 9 rooms and each one of them has a unique sea view terrace, private cabana and sunbeds to enjoy the view. It has a stunning white sand beach with palm trees reaching for the blue sky and a beautiful garden where you can spot tropical birds: Black Palm Cockatoo, Blyths Hornbill, …

Because of the small number of rooms, all meals for lunch and dinner are served “family-style”., which is a great way to communicate and socialize with other guests.

  1. Diving.

Almost all of the best dive sites: Blue Magic, Mioskun, Sardines, Mike’s Point, Yenbuba,… are very near the Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort, max 20 minutes boatride, which makes it very enjoyable for the divers and easy to finish that bucket list. And for those who have booked a Raja Ampat dive package, can also enjoy a dive on the pristine house reef, just in front of the resort.

  1. Price.

Compared to other resort in the area, the Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort is very reasonable priced.

There are 3 different room types:

  • Standard (Family) Cottage which has a shared bathroom and is a very comfort room for families to share.
  • Superior Cottage which has an ensuite bathroom with cold water shower.
  • Deluxe Cottage which has an ensuite bathroom with hot/cold water shower.

Every room category has a different price range and starting from a minimum stay of 5 nights, you can even book special Packages to get the most out of your Raja Ampat holidays.

  1. Snorkeling.

The house reef of the Biodiversity Eco Resort is not only for divers, it is also very suitable for snorkelers. When it is high tide, you can easily access the stunning coral reef from the Raja Ampat Beach and discover the beauty of the underwater world.  For the low tide, the owners have built a jetty with staircase, so guest can still enjoy the snorkeling right in front of their resort without damaging any of the corals.

Besides the house reef, there are many other spots in the area nearby where snorkelers can enjoy and discover the biodiversity of Raja Ampat.

  1. Customer Service.

At the Biodiversity Eco Resort they want their customers to enjoy their holidays and aim to give a personal service to all of their guests. Staff members will know your name, listen to your request and do their upmost best so you’ll get the holiday experience where you’ve been dreaming of.

So, when you’re planning your next Raja Ampat holidays, think about what is important to you and how you’ like to spend your holidays.
