Our History
Can be summarized with the following elements: passion for the sea, cultural enrichment from traveling, discovering, learning and sharing. As the song says: “Mi unica patria, la mar” (the sea, my only homeland)
After working for many years in the diving industry, and after many years of globetrotting, packing and unpacking our backpacks, finally, we decided to settle down and start our own project in Papua, on the island of Gam. A remote island where the elements mentioned above are found, were you can breathe peace, tranquility and live in direct contact with nature in its purest form.

Our philosophy has always been to try to live our dreams and strive to make them come true, and now we are aiming for the big one: Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort (our own dive operation!!) in the area where we always dreamed of diving: Raja Ampat. Wow!
With the desire to share this paradise (and our dreams) with others we offer Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort, which, honestly, is an extension of ourselves. Here you will find a friendly atmosphere and the service we always wanted when traveling: friendly, small, cozy, simple, comfortable, personal… We hope to share our passion for diving, for nature and for responsible tourism with our visitors.
Our mission is simple: to offer diving in Raja Ampat, (probably one of the best places of the world), at reasonable prices. Just what we wanted when we initially came here!
In order to help local community, we buy all of our building materials from many of the surrounding villages (in order to spread wealth among them). We propose our guests with a high cultural enrichment experience: visit the local villages, giving you the opportunity to be part in the life of a family of Papua, turning your visit into something cultural, socially responsible and enriching.
Responsible Tourism
In order to contribute to share the profits of tourism with the local community, we invite you to visit Yenkoranu Homestay, a rustic accommodation owned by a local Papuan family. With this help we intend to bring direct benefits to the local community while offering travellers the opportunity to contact the customs of this family, lifestyle and culture of Papua.
We Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort firmly believe in training locals in order to increase their opportunities, we do this by diving courses, teaching English and educating them in conservation of the environment. In return they give us lessons in Bahasa Indonesia and local dialects, also they help us discover the secrets of the island.
Our priority is to minimize the impact of our presence so as to conserve the areas we visit. So we built all huts in traditional manner using sustainable materials and natural products such as coconut wood, or thatch for our roofs.
We have tried to preserve the existing vegetation, and cut the minimum plants, thus integrating with nature to the fullest.
We limit the consumption of plastics and encourage our customers to do the same so trying to preserve this paradise as much as possible intact.
This is our Raja Ampat Biodiversity Eco Resort formula of operation, we hope to provide a complete travel experience of our visitors, both on and off the water.
